I recently bought HTC Desire mobile phone. With few days of search into the possibilities of a smart phone I could sense the war of mobile platforms is on way. The young and dynamic Android will really challenge Apple and Microsoft. The unlimited possibilities with mobiles is kicking off. It only amazes me to think how the future will look like.
Do a layman still require a typical computer? The ease of using mobile phones combined with the power and possibilities they offer is going to shape how one interacts with a Information System. In countries where 3G & 4G is easily available this is going to happen very soon.
All the varieties of life like entertainment, media, finance, reading, knowledge, news, lifestyle, gaming etc, etc seems to converge inside a 6 to 7" piece of metal. For IT developers this seems to be challenging times ahead and for a layman this seems to be interesting times ahead..
